Context
The Weeks was developed as a social experiment aimed at strengthening relationships by reconnecting friends living in the same city but leading busy lives. This project was another iOS mobile app sprint that we aimed to launch and validate quickly.
Opportunity
Current platforms lack proactive coordination, only showcasing past posts or real-time events, which leads to fleeting memories and hinders intentional relationship building. Our research found that 82% of Gen Z use calendars to organize their lives. We sought to address this by asking: What if you could share your calendar with close friends and passively send invitations for events you’d like them to join?
Final product
Our final product iteration was a social calendar that automates all manual tasks. Upon onboarding, it syncs your calendar and screenshots, addressing a common Gen Z habit of screenshotting events and plans. The app auto-populates your profile with this information, allowing users to easily choose friends to share it with. This functionality helped us accumulate over 800 total users, with a peak of 90 weekly active users (WAU).
